This cinema ident was for a D&AD brief. The company that the brief was for was DCM a cinema advertising company they wanted to emphasis that they provided an cinema experience. In my research; i concluded that whenever we enter the cinema and watch a film we are immersed in the environment and forget everything. We are transported to a dream world, and escape to a place like no other. It is that sensation, that immersion that i wanted to incapsulate. I wanted to give it a subtle beginning to gradually enable that full sensation to hit the viewer. The idea of being on the other side of that door/gap not knowing what would happen next, yet having a slight peek though the door/gap. As the ident progresses it would take the viewer into an immersive environment. I felt that space was an appropriate environment for this ident as when you think of films and escaping far far away you generally think of space. The logo was see through as i wanted to to become part of the environment. I am quite happy with the outcome as it was the first time i ever used C4d.
